Lambda Robotics builds autonomous systems for physical infrastructure. As a SLAM Engineer, you'll develop the mapping and localization systems that let our robots know exactly where they are and what's around them — in environments that weren't designed for robots.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain real-time SLAM pipelines for lidar, camera, and IMU sensor fusion.
- Develop robust localization systems that work in dynamic, unstructured environments.
- Optimize mapping and localization for compute and latency constraints on real hardware.
- Work closely with perception and systems engineers to integrate SLAM into the full stack.
What we're looking for
- Deep experience with SLAM algorithms — graph optimization, factor graphs, or learned approaches.
- Strong background in sensor fusion across lidar, camera, and/or IMU.
- Experience deploying localization on physical robots, not just in simulation.
- Comfort with C++ and real-time systems.
